Jodie Burton, MD, a neurologist at the University of Toronto, explained a study involving relapsing remitting Multiple Sclerosis patients divided into two groups:
Group 1 received an average of 1,000iu of Vit D per day for one year
Group 2 received an average of 14,000iu of Vit D per day for one year
Group 2 experienced 41% fewer relapse symptoms of MS compared with 17% of those taking typical doses.
Also, people taking high-dose vitamin D suffered much fewer relapses than the year before the study began, compared with those taking typical doses. Burton said that the people taking high doses of vitamin D3 did not suffer any significant side effects.
«Vitamin D appears to suppress the autoimmune responses thought to cause MS. In MS, haywire T lymphocytes the cellular “generals” of the immune system order attacks on the myelin sheaths that surround and protect the brain cells.
In people given high-dose vitamin D in the study, T cell activity dropped significantly. Which did not happen in people who took lower doses.»
This concludes that vitamin D is more efficient than many drugs. However vitamin D cannot be patented by Big Pharma and thus is in directly financial conflict with them.
Vitamin D and C-19
Lets get to C-19 and Vitamin Ds effect on it, Dr Michael Hollick one of the leading authorities on Vitamin D said the following «Vitamin D can help reduce coronavirus risk by 54%»
Copied from Boston Herald
“People have been looking for the magic drug or waiting for the vaccine and not looking for something this simple,” said Dr. Michael Holick, professor of medicine, physiology and biophysics at Boston University School of Medicine.
Holick and his colleagues studied blood samples from Quest Diagnostics of more than 190,000 Americans from all 50 states and found that those who had deficient levels of vitamin D had 54% higher COVID positivity compared to those with adequate levels of vitamin D in the blood.
The risk of getting coronavirus continued to decline as vitamin D levels increased, the study, published in the Public Library of Science One peer-reviewed journal shows.
“The higher your vitamin D status, lower was your risk,” Holick said.
Here is my link to the supplements and my little talk about them
Vitamin D is fantastic! In day 2 of this little free e-course you got an overview over the supplements that I recommend as a basis to build your immune system and they were vitamin D 10 000 iu a day, this one is also good magnesium citrate, zinc, vitamin K2 and a multi vitamin that has covered the most important minerals you need. Of course this is very generic and I use it myself, but for individual treatments and protocols to combat C19 and other diseases such as auto immunity that will look very different and I tailor that to people individually for my patients. If that is something you are interested in, please email me at thevanessaprotocol@gmail.com
In conclusion building your immune system up before Covid 19 hits is potential better than not. And generic doses from multivitamins with fillers don't work. Neither does vitamin D powder capsules, it has to be in oil. There are so many things to know about getting this right but it is not hard. You can learn more from my in depth course here
My book is also helpful
You can read more here about what I offer to help you and your blood tests and recommendations for you.
If you have any questions you can send me an email but I will not give personal diagnosing or recommendations without knowing your medical history or your blood works. Keep in mind that your blood values wont be the same day to day and can vary depending on where you are in the cycle. The labs are also "interesting". Earlier this year I had two doctors sending in my blood tests on the same day from the same doctors office to the same lab and low and behold one was below range and one was within. That day I also felt crap but I wasn't ill, but they were my thyroid levels. However, it gave me clues on what to work on.
Blessings,
